Day #7 – End on a High Note

This blog post is part of my Personal Coronavirus Challenge where I write about remote working and facilitation every day for as long as the imposed quarantine lasts with the intent to get into the habit of writing regularly and (hopefully) getting better at it.

Before disconnecting your remote meeting allow a few minutes for team members to provide praise for others who helped them out or performed some action worthy of recognition. This can be for someone within the team but also outside of the team. If you are the team leader, be prepared with your own praise and recognition to get the process started. Instead of praise and recognition, it could be also a question such as. Doing this at the conclusion of each meeting allows you to end on a high note and gain the attention of everyone on the call.
